Two New York moms have the best answer to “Mom, can I get a ride?”
They say necessity is the mother of invention and for these two busy working moms it certainly was. Molly Barkan Goldberg, mom of two very extra curricularly and socially active kids, was tired of constantly showing up to drive her kids only to find three other mothers, who live within blocks, also there to pick up their kids.
After yet another unnecessary pickup, Molly was airing her frustration to her friend, Jennifer Meltzer Geller, whose kids now drive but still remembers the days of constant calls from her kids for rides. As Molly and Jenn commiserated, they wondered, why isn’t there an app to correct this time-consuming issue?
Molly and Jenn created HiveDrive to help parents and kids bee free.
