How HiveDrive Works

Parents or guardians create a household account easily, in a minute. They’re the administrator of the account, and the only one who can make changes to it.
Please note: You must be over 18 to create an account. Anyone under 18, can send the link to the app to their parent or guardian.

Parents invite other parents and children to join their household via a shareable code that’s sent by text.

Then, parents and/or kids create their hive (aka the group of kids that will require transportation and their parents who will drive) by inviting people through a shareable code that’s send by text.

Once the hive is set up, ride requests can be initiated. All parents are notified when a ride request is sent. An in-app chat allows kids in the hive and their parents to communicate as a group. It also allows a parent to claim rides and stay in touch with their kids and the carpool driver –– making it easy for updates, clarifications, and adjustments to arrangements.

Once all kids have been dropped off, the carpool driver ends the ride, and all households are notified.
